Words

A constant hum in my mind, a myriad of thoughts streaming, compete with the desire to order them into words and sentences, possibly even paragraphs fit to convey the ideas that are bubbling within.

Rewards

Yesterday was pouring rain all day. Soaking, pounding, and gusting winds. Since I live in Seattle if I used the rain as an excuse to not walk well then success just wouldn't happen very often.

I was rewarded for getting a little damp by the presence of the mated bald eagle pair that live in the neighborhood roosting in a tree along my path. They even vocalized their eagle cries and took off from their perch as I watched them soar into the sky.

At the entrance to the horticulture center tiny yellow flowers were budding all over the trees.
In the evening I met up with a friend for delicious cozy latte from Zoka and finished my Chevron hat before heading home

I woke up on my birthday eve to this amazing scene
Now everything is glistening in the sunlight since the clouds have passed.

A year off

I took a year off blogging while I quit smoking and fell in love. Two life altering events in and of themselves combined can kick your ass in a whole new way. They apparently left me stunned speechless.I am attempting to find my voice and settle into a new kind of joy.

My walk through the sanctuary was a riot of birds this afternoon... honks filled the air as the geese arrived back at their spring home, starlings swooped through the sky in swarms and robins feasted on the worms basking in the paths from the morning rain. My walks are an inspiring and humbling part of my days.
